Who AM i?
Hi there, I’m Doug!
I am a veteran athletics administrator with more than a decade’s worth of experience working primarily at the NCAA Division III level in conference offices. While the majority of responsibilities have been communications and media-related, I have also worked in game day operations, events, and strategic management.
I developed a passion for sports at young age and have been driven by that passion ever since. I have seen sports for almost every perspective, giving me a vast knowledge base in the industry.
I was:
A three-sport high school captain at Dedham High School - competing in soccer, indoor and outdoor track & field, and JV baseball;
A certified soccer and futsal referee for almost 20 years - officiating major regional and national events as a teenager;
A soccer coach for all ages and genders ranging from working camps and clinics for pre-K children to being appointed as the head coach of an NCAA Division III program;
A sports media member covering major events such as the 2008 Boston Celtics NBA Championship.
In recent times, I’ve tried to share that love for sports with others who are looking to get into the business, helping them navigate the difficult terrain that is the sports world. While I love working with anyone who wants to break into the business, I especially like helping out other Asian-Americans get their start in an effort to help advance an underrepresented group in the space.
